Balsamic-Drizzled Vanilla Ice Cream
Ice cream with balsamic vinegar is a popular, sophisticated Italian dessert combination that pairs the creamy, sweet richness of ice cream with the tangy, complex, and slightly sweet flavor of aged balsamic vinegar. This pairing is considered an "unexpected" but harmonious treat, an "elegant" upgrade to simple vanilla or fruit-based desserts.
Ingredients
1-pint vanilla bean ice cream
Strawberry or Chocolate Balsamic Vinegar (for drizzling)
Instructions
Place 4 dessert bowls or glasses in the freezer for 10–15 minutes to chill.
Scoop two scoops of ice cream into each chilled bowl.
Drizzle a little Strawberry or Chocolate Balsamic Vinegar over the top (start with 1–2 teaspoons per serving and add more to taste). Serve immediately.
Chef’s tip: Add fresh sliced strawberries or shaved dark chocolate on top for an extra “wow” finish.
